(This is rather a large file, so do give it some time to load.)

I walked through icy ocean up to my thighs for half an hour to get to the sand bar early. I've noticed the eagles prefer to be there as the tide is going out . . . I guess it's easier to catch the fish plus less annoying people and their dogs.

Unfortunately the light is not great (cloudy day). I sat on the sand pretending I was warming up when the eagles landed quite a way away from me. Where I had just come from, in fact!

Cursing, I debated what to do when I saw a man walking his dog approaching them. So I decided to stay put, hoping they would fly in my direction.

The plan worked! Plus the dog -of course- had to come up to me sniffing and snorting (as dogs will), adding an audio dimension to my recording.
