Before the series on the previous page, when I first started walking up to that sand bar (about 20 min. walk, so 1 mile); there was about five wild bald eagles using it to eat what they had caught.

 

I took this photo is as I approached it's eastern side.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This was taken between the first and second shots on the previous page; as I circled around trying to get a better angle (and background) I kept shooting along the way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

These two shots were on an earlier day, when the weather was still bad.

 

(This, and the eagle with the missing wing feathers, are the only two of all my subjects that are banded. That includes the juveniles.)
